If something is not done to your expectations, please let us know. We’ll send a team out to make it right (within a 7-day window). If after our re-clean is completed and you’re still not happy with service, we offer a full refund.

We work exclusively with proven, professional cleaners. If we’re not comfortable with them in our own home, we will not place them in yours. We take the following steps in order to ensure that the most qualified cleaners are available to our clients:

Only about 10% of the people that apply end up working as a You Need A Maid cleaner. When it comes to the safety of our customers, we won’t settle for anything less.

We have three levels of security in place. First off our booking page is protected by extended validation SSL. Secondly, our booking form has it’s own layer of 256 bit security. Third, credit card transactions are processed by stripe and is layered on their own 256 security protocol. In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system (only a token that allows us to charge the card). Rest assured we take security very very seriously.

If you’re not content with your cleaning, we will come out and re-clean (within a 7-day window). If you still don’t think we did a good enough job to recommend us to your friends, we’ll refund your money.

Yes, they do. We run a detailed nationwide background check on all applicants as the last step in our pre-screening process.

Absolutely. Simply enter your coupon (giftcard) code into the booking form as you are creating your booking. Your final price will automatically change to reflect your coupon balance. At any time you can log into your account and see the balance on any giftcards you have.

Standard cleaning takes into account everything that involves cleaning a home or apartment. Cleaning/vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dusting, etc. We do offer extra services like cleaning inside the fridge and inside the oven, and those can be selected on the booking form when you select service.

Yes, we provide all cleaning supplies, products and equipment, unless there is a specific request for a certain service.

CLEANING SERVICE DETAILS

While our cleaning professionals do their absolute best to provide you with the highest quality of service, there are a few services we do not offer/guarantee due to the associated risks involved.   • Cannot perform services while other services are being performed in or around the home (plumbing, painting, construction, etc.)

 

  • No lifting or moving heavy items (refrigerator, stove, tables, furniture, etc.)

 

  • No moving vases, hung pictures, or other delicate items.

 

  • No DIY projects

 

  • Cleaning any item or area that cannot be safely reached using telescopic cleaning tools. If your home requires cleaning of any kind beyond the limits of these tools, we will contact/refer an outside service for you.

 

  • Guaranteed removal of excessive pet hair from upholstery or carpet. While our Deep Clean option does include vacuuming furniture and carpet, our cleaning professionals have found that guaranteeing removal of excessive pet hair is too time consuming to be economical and rarely yields satisfactory results. However, we do our best to remove what we can with our standard cleaning tools.

 

  • Cleaning exterior windows beyond what is reasonable to clean with standard cleaning and extender tools.

 

  • Removing strong odors (mold, animal waste, smoke, etc.)

 

  • Cleaning dishwashers and washing machines

 

  • Cleaning light bulbs with wet wipes (potential electrical hazard)

 

  • Cleaning rodent/insect infected homes

 

  • Removing excess paint from surfaces

 

  • Post-construction cleaning

 

  • Deep carpet/floor cleaning (steam cleaning, polishing, waxing, etc.)

 

  • Heavy marks/stains on walls, baseboards, other painted surfaces due to potential damage to paint.

Inside Refrigerator – Included with move-in/out clean

Remove contents, wipe down & disinfect, replace contents. Does not include freezer unless requested. This service can be added to the Standard or Deep Clean packages for an additional cost.

 

Inside Oven – Included with deep clean and move-in/out clean, otherwise an additional fee

Clean and de-grease inside the oven. This service can be added to the Standard Cleaning Package for an additional fee.

Clean inside window and window sills of reachable windows. This service can be added to the Standard Cleaning Package for an additional fee per window.

 

Same Day Service

Service is considered “same day” if booked within a time period of less than 24 hours.

 

Extra Rooms

You Need A Maid will clean all common living spaces. Additional spaces that are typically considered add-ons such as a bonus rooms, designated office space (as indicated by the floor plan), garages and basements can be cleaned at an additional fee per room.

Load of Dishes

We will rinse and load dishes in the dishwasher or clean them by hand. A load of dishes is considered one sink or dishwasher load of dishes. Please note, clean dishes must be put away to take advantage of this service. Please have dish detergent or dishwasher safe soap available on the day of service.

 

Load of Laundry

Our cleaners will wash, dry and fold your laundry. One load of laundry is considered a typical basket full. Please communicate specific garment needs when booking your service. Please have laundry detergent available on the day of service.

 

Linen Change

We understand that making the bed can sometimes be a hassle. We will make your bed with clean linens for each bedroom. Please ensure clean linens are placed in the bedroom on the day of your clean if booking this service.

 

Initial/Deep Clean

Our deep cleaning service provides a good foundation for maintenance cleans in the future. If this is your first time using our service or you haven’t received a professional clean in 30 days or more, we highly recommend a deep clean for your first service. Subsequent cleans can always be booked as a deep clean for that extra shine throughout your home every time. Please see our Service Checklist page for more details.

 

Move-In/Out Clean

Move-ins/outs can be time consuming so let us do the heavy lifting of cleaning your space before or after your move! Visit our Service Checklist page for details on what’s included in our move-in/out package. Please note, deep cleans are sometimes mistaken for move-in/out cleans. If we determine that your service requires a move-in/out clean and a deep clean was booked, we will contact you to confirm the additional cost.

 

Pets

We love our furry friends! But sometimes they can leave quite a mess. We charge an additional per pet fee to ensure that our cleaners can properly service your home with a little more tlc.

At the time of booking we will work with you to accurately estimate the time required for each specific request so that your cleaning professionals have the time they need to perform the requested services.
